Yes, we are now a two-Kindle household, but I found myself wishing to try out the new Reader. I very much want to use the local library resources and any free books I can find.

Hello Will,

Thank you for this post about the Sony Reader. We're very proud of it's features and design and glad to see that it is being appreciated by ebook enthusiast like you! Personally I love the link to public libraries too. It's a nice to "check out" a book from the public library.. not just saving money (which is great) but also the idea of sharing.

Take care,

This is an excellent point - in spite of loving my Kindle, I do not have unlimited funds; I use my public library a great deal - primarily for audiobooks; that functionality has improved so much and it now works on so many different devices. The ebook selection is more limited than the audiobook selection, but there still are books there that I would really prefer reading on an ereader; I've no plans to hunt down & borrow the hard copy version. I don't have a Sony but have seriously thought about getting one for library books. I do wish Amazon would work some kind of deal to let us borrow ebooks as well from our libraries.
